Istituto Statale di Istruzione Secondaria Superiore “SAVIANO-MARIGLIANO“ school’s visit to The Institute of Economics, Zagreb

The Istituto Statale di Istruzione Secondaria Superiore "SAVIANO-MARIGLIANO" secondary school students from Italy, Naples, visited The Institute of Economics, Zagreb, as part of the Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation (PCTO) project (Italian: Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e l’Orientamento (PCTO)), which is financed by the European Social Fund and the European Regional Development Fund. The project comprises mandatory training courses for all secondary schools, with the aim of promoting the integration between school and work environments and developing useful skills for the students’ professional and personal outlook.

 
We hosted the Italian students, their two teachers, and Irena Đokić, PhD, on March 13, 2025, as part of the study visit project activity. Institute director Ivana Rašić, PhD, gave the students an introductory presentation about the Institute. Bruno Škrinjarić, PhD, and assistant Tibor Kovač delivered two interesting lectures on how to become a scientist and what the job of a scientist looks like, giving the students insight into possible future professions and public scientific institute activities.
