The Institute of Economics, Zagreb (EIZ) is issuing the following
JOB ADVERTISEMENT
I. This job advertisement is issued for the scientific position of research associate, in the scientific area of social sciences - field of economics, in the Department for Innovation, Business Economics and Business Sectors, permanent and full-time employment contract, 1 employee.
Requirements: Applicants must meet the requirements for appointment to the scientific position of research associate as prescribed by the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity (Official Gazette 119/22 - the Act), Ordinance on Criteria for Appointment to Scientific Ranks (Official Gazette 28/17, 72/19, 21/21, 111/22 - the Ordinance) and EIZ’s Ordinance on Additional Criteria for Appointment to Scientific, Associate, and Expert Positions of November 28, 2023 (EIZ’s Ordinance).
Advantages: Published papers and participation in scientific and development research in the field of behavioral economics, marketing, and consumer behavior (JEL classification: D9, M3).
II. Appointment to the scientific position is conducted in accordance with Article 39 through Article 41 of the Act.
The applicants must enclose:
- their signed application,
- curriculum vitae,
- copy of a document proving EU citizenship,
- copy of documents proving the requested academic degree (applicants who have earned their academic degree outside Croatia must enclose the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education or a receipt confirming the submission of an application for the said Ruling),
- copy of documents proving scientific rank (if the applicant has been appointed to a scientific rank),
- copy of the decision on the applicant’s last appointment to a scientific position (if the applicant has been appointed to a scientific position),
- printout of the list of papers from the CROSBI-CroRis base,
- certificate of indexation and citation of papers, issued by the authorized library,
- list of published scientific articles
- copy of all published scientific articles relevant for appointment to scientific rank / scientific position according to the Ordinance,
- list of research projects the applicant has participated in,
- written presentation of compliance with the criteria from EIZ’s Ordinance (in free form).

III. Applicants who are, according to special provisions, entitled to an advantage when applying for employment in the public service, must invoke their right in the application and enclose all documents required by the special provision with the application, and will, in that case, have an advantage over other candidates, only under equal conditions.
IV. The selected candidate must present the original or certified copies of the evidence required before the employment contract is signed.
V. Female and male candidates are encouraged to apply for the job advertisement under equal conditions. The deadline for the application is
30 days from the publication of this job advertisement. Applications and evidence proving the candidate meets the criteria should be sent in electronic form to the email address:

VI. A selection procedure will be organized for the applicants. Information about the job description and salary will be published on EIZ’s website
https://www.eizg.hr/en. The selection results will also be announced on EIZ’s website, within 8 days after the successful candidate is selected.
VII. By sending the job application, the applicant is giving the Institute of Economics, Zagreb consent to collect and process personal data listed in the application and in the enclosed documents, for the purpose of candidate selection, as well as consent to announce the selection results. Collected personal data will be processed according to the valid regulations.
