New edition of Regio-news

The new edition of Regio-news analyzes the inequalities in GDP between Croatian counties and the financing of decentralized functions. The “Selected projects” section presents the following projects: “Municipal councillors in Europe”, “The economics of natural disasters: Evidence from riverine floodings in Austria”, and “Night-time economy strategies: Interregional approach to managing the night-time economy in the European Union (NITIES)”. The “Regio-glossary” section presents the topic of territorial embedding of innovation.

The publication also gives brief announcements of the EURA 2026 Conference, the 65th ERSA Congress, the 4th CEE-Loc Conference, and the EURA and ECPR Summer School. It presents the latest research and professional papers published within the project “Challenges facing local and regional development in Croatia (RELI2)”, as well as new, interesting books on regional development.
