TRADSTAR project reaches the public
TRADSTAR project manager, Danijel Nestić, PhD, continued with the project implementation and activities within the project (funded within the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021-2026 - NextGenerationEU). At the 58th symposium of the Croatian Association of Accountants and Financial Workers, he presented some of his findings on the topic of the macroeconomic view of salaries in the public sector in Croatia to the professionals, scientific and general public. The overarching theme of the symposium, which was held from May 23 to 25, 2024 in Bol on the island of Brač, was "Salaries, sustainability reporting and adjustments in the management of public companies upon joining the OECD". The traditional symposium is a place for acquiring new knowledge, meeting and exchanging experiences of accountants, auditors, professionals and scientists/researchers with the aim of improving accounting and auditing practice.
First dissemination activity within TRADSTAR project
Our researcher, Valerija Botrić, PhD, member of the TRADSTAR project team, participated in the 47th EBES (Eurasia Business and Economics Society) Conference where she presented the paper "
Bridging the Gap: Exploring Gender Dimension in European Labour Market Transitions" on April 20, 2024.
The conference was jointly organized with the GLO (Global Labor Organization) with the support of the Istanbul Economic Research Association and in collaboration with the FOM University of Applied Sciences in hybrid mode with both online and in-person presentation at the FOM University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany.

On January 1, 2024 The Institute of Economics, Zagreb started with the implementation of the four-year project
„Labour Markets and Well-being in the Context of an Ageing Population (TRADSTAR)“, financed with funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021-2026 - NextGenerationEU. The project is part of the four-year Program Agreement that the Institute of Economics, Zagreb signed with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia. The Program Agreement is a new instrument of public financing of scientific institutions that enables the institutions to independently manage scientific activity in accordance with national strategic goals and based on the results and quality of scientific work. The project lasts until December 31, 2027 and project activities, as well as events, will be published on the web pages of the Institute of Economics, Zagreb.
