The Institute of Economics, Zagreb (EIZ) as the recipient of the PMI IMPACT Grant, was invited to attend the Conference “Combatting Illicit Trade: Progress, Challenges and Collaborative Solutions” organized by the Financial Times in London, on September 27 and 28, 2017. The representatives of the Institute were
Jelena Budak, project leader on the project entitled “Illegal Trade of Tobacco Products: Smuggling as Experienced along the Balkan Route – BalkanSmugg”, funded through the PMI IMPACT Grant, and
Sunčana Slijepčević, researcher and project team member. The two EIZ representatives were also invited to the PMI IMPACT Meeting for grantees during the morning of September 27 and before the Financial Times’ event. This meeting presented the opportunity to meet with the members of the Expert Council and representatives of other organizations that have been awarded a PMI IMPACT grant. It was also an occasion for meeting with the PMI Impact team and go through an informative session together.
