Brief outline:
The goal of this project was to create a profile of eight sectors that would be used in development of Croatian Qualifications Framework (CQF). Profile of the sector was an analytical background aimed to be used in defining the demand and supply for occupations and qualifications. The content of each sector profile was used to verify the relevance of qualifications for the labour market needs; to serve standard proponents in terms of recognizing the demand for certain qualifications and to support activities of sector councils in evaluation of the proposed standards for certain occupations and qualifications.
Activities:
-
Development of profile for eight sectors i) Agriculture, food and veterinary; ii) Construction and geodesy; iii) Economy and trade; iv) Tourism and catering; v) Transport and logistics; vi) Health; vii) Information and communication; and viii) Basic Engineering
-
Consultations with key stakeholders and members of relevant sector council for each profile-pending sector
-
Development of evaluation proposal for supply and demand for sectoral professions
-
Proposal of domestic and foreign literature to better describe the profiles
Methodology: The methodology was the default methodology prescribed by the client, i.e. the Ministry of Labour and Pension System, consisting of various methods of descriptive statistics based on large data sets relevant for the particular sector, including pivot tables and charts.
