The analysis of supply and demand for social and affordable housing in five Croatian cities

Summary: 
For the purposes of this study, a supply and demand analysis for social and affordable housing was conducted in Zagreb, Osijek, Split, Varaždin, and Rijeka. The analysis included an assessment of housing needs within various affordability thresholds for the local population, taking into account regional differences in income levels, housing prices, and household structures. In addition, housing need projections were developed through 2030, based on demographic and socio-economic forecasts. Finally, the required housing stock was quantified in order to meet the identified needs of each city, accompanied by an analysis of the existing available stock (both occupied and vacant) and the additional capacity needed in the medium and long term.
