On Friday, November 24, 2023, at 10 a.m., the closing conference related to the Consumer Resilience to Online Privacy Violation (REPRICON) research project will be held at the Institute of Economics, Zagreb.
The REPRICON project is a four-year project funded by the Croatian Science Foundation, whose aim was to examine the resilience of internet users after they had experienced a violation of their privacy online.
The results of REPRICON research, conducted at the Institute of Economics, Zagreb, will be presented by the head of the research project, Jelena Budak, PhD, who will also present an electronic book about the project on that occasion.
The conference will host notable lecturers and experts dealing with related topics of consumer resilience, data protection, and digital piracy. The issue of privacy protection and security online will be addressed from different aspects as part of the panel discussion.

REPRICON team member Jelena Budak held an invited lecture at the 9th REDETE conference in Ancona, taking place from September 15 -16, 2022. At the lecture under the title "Consumer online behavior in the European digital agenda context: should we rely on a privacy paradox?", she presented her paper co-authored with Edo Rajh. A paper by Bruno Škrinjarić, Jelena Budak and Edo Rajh, Consumers’ Attitudes Change in Response to Privacy Violation Online Incident, was presented at the conference “FEB Zagreb 2022, 13th International Odyssey Conference on Economics and Business” held online and in Dubrovnik on June 1 - 6, 2022. Project manager of the “Consumer resilience to online privacy violation - REPRICON” project Jelena Budak held a presentation on September 3, 2021 as part of the keynotes plenary discussion at the Researching Economic Development and Entrepreneurship in Transition Economies - REDETE Conference in Niš. She presented the paper “Resilience to Online Privacy Violation: The Role of Socio-Demographic Attributes”, written as part of the REPRICON project.

Jelena Budak, the project manager of the “Consumer resilience to online privacy violation - REPRICON” project, and research associates Edo Rajh, Sunčana Slijepčević and Bruno Škrinjarić published the working paper “Theoretical concepts of consumer resilience to online privacy violation” in the latest edition of EIZ Working Papers.
The working paper aims to elaborate the theoretical concepts that might be applied in the research of consumer resilience to online privacy violation, a new and unexplored aspect of consumer behavior in the digital environment. It contributes to the privacy resilience debate and lays the groundwork for developing a conceptual model of online consumer resilience that would explore how individual behavior is affected after online privacy violation occurrence.

On January 31, 2020 the Institute of Economics, Zagreb (EIZ) hosted a kick-off meeting for the “Consumer resilience to online privacy violation - REPRICON” project. The project is funded by Croatian Science Foundation.
Jelena Budak, project manager, and research associates Edo Rajh, Bruno Škrinjarić, Sunčana Slijepčević, Zvjezdan Penezić and Šime Lugović attended the meeting.
After a brief introduction, an agreement was reached on the dynamics of implementation of the activities planned in the first year of the project.
The meeting marked the official start of the implementation of the activities at the "Consumer Resistance to Online Privacy Breach - REPRICON" project.
