Summary:
The aim of the contracted research was to determine the growth factors of micro enterprises in Croatia founded by women, as well as the factors that condition the transition of these enterprises to the status of small and medium enterprises. Additional project objectives were to identify the most successful micro enterprises according to two indicators: 1) speed and efficiency of transition from micro enterprises to small or medium enterprises; and 2) the best micro enterprise according to the performance of the enterprise. The companies were analyzed on the basis of FINA's database, for a period of fifteen years, from 2003 to 2017. In addition to data from FINA, data from the Court Register from 2016 were also used to identify the ownership structure of an individual company by gender. The subject of the analysis were companies from all industries except the financial industry. The methodology used in the research was panel data analysis using the Arellano-Bond method and basic descriptive statistics.
